"I Love my NEW Overalls!"

Here are some embellished denim overalls I made for Carly. Of course, not without the help of my good friend Jennifer, who knew what she was doing! I am really happy with the end result ~ and looking forward to making more of these in the future!

Carly turned 3 on November 15! I decided to venture out and have a "kid party!" We kept it very small with just a couple friends and cousins. Everything went well, the kids had fun...and I think I might even do it again!

Watch Out...Mommy has the scissors!!!!

The other night after Carly's bath, I decided it would be fun to give her a little hair cut. I told her if she would sit really still Mommy would give her a special treat when we were done. Well, she did pretty well and only had a couple of sudden moves. I took off about 2 1/2 inches (we decided that was a good number since she is 2 1/2 years old....Just kidding). Once I finished cutting, we dried it and Mommy had to style it. We decided to try the "Flip!"

Happy Mother's Day!

Today was a very nice Mother's Day! We had a wonderful church service and then went over to the home of a family in our church for lunch. This evening because we did not have church, we went to the Long Horn Steakhouse for dinner and then did a little shopping. Tim and Carly both gave me really sweet cards and gave me a gift. As each day passes, I am learning more and more, the job of a Mother is not easy, but it is such a Blessing! I want to take this time to stop and say thank you to my Mom and my Mother in law. I love you both and appreciate all you have done for us over the years! You are both godly Mothers who are such an example to me. Thank you ~ Happy Mother's Day!

TWINS!!!!

Today Carly & her dolly got to wear their new matching dresses! She got these for her Birthday from Uncle Jon and Aunt Kim! She was so excited to be able to bring her doll to church! I told her that this was special ~ just for today and that her dolly would not be coming to church regularly!

On Wednesday we decided to get all of the cousins togther with their Easter outfits on and get a few pictures. Unfortunately, after 40 something pictures later and 4 cameras going at once, these are the BEST we got! Carly is not amused by Granna dancing around behing the camera ~ but everyone else thinks she's funny! Come on Carly...can you just give us a little smile?

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday/Lord's Day! Both the morning and evening church services were so good! Sunday night we had a special "Cantata" we called our Easter Reflection Service.

Here are a few pictures of Carly in her Easter dress. I can proudly say (but not without the help from my good friend Jennifer) that I made Carly's dress! I purchased a sewing machine a couple months ago and am finally learning to sew. This dress was kind of a big project, but I feel like I really learned a lot. Thank you Jennifer!!!
